Unfortunately we have decided to cease opening on a Sunday until further notice. This is due to extremely poor trading on that day over the past 5 weeks.
On Monday 5th July we celebrated our 3rd anniversay - many thanks to all our customers over the last 3 years.

From 13th June the shop will start opening again on Sundays between 11:00 and 16:00. Several new beers in stock including more new local beers in the bottle from Gargoyles, Hunter's and Quercus.

Lots of new local beers in stock. We've already run out of the 8 Driftwood Spars and 3 Tintagel Brewery beers but hope to have these in stock again soon. However plenty of others including new bottled beers from Blackawton Brewery, Clearwater Brewery, Exeter Brewery, Green Room Ales, Hunter's Brewery, Keltek Brewery and O'Hanlon's Brewery. We usually have over 120 Devon and Cornwall beers in stock - currently there are 131 on the shelves.

After a very busy Christmas stock is a bit low in certain sections, e.g. Belgian beers, but hopefully the shelves will be full again by the end of the month. We actually stocked 34 different Christmas beers and sold out of all of them before Christmas Eve. Next year we're aiming for 40!

Today we launched our own specially brewed beer Penpont Primoris M and it is now on sale in the shop. At 5.8% abv it is a very tasty dark porter and ideal drinking for this time of year.

Welcome to our new website which went live today - Friday 13th! You can now buy beers and cider from us on-line. Select from the best selection of Devon and Cornwall beers available anywhere. Plus there are nearly 200 other beers and just under 60 ciders to choose from as well!

On Friday 18th October we reached a total of 1000 different beers stocked in the shop since we opened. To celebrate this a special beer was brewed for us by Penpont Brewery of Altarnun, Cornwall. 'Primoris M' (the first 1000 in Latin) is a very delicious 5.8% abv dark porter. It will be on sale in the shop very soon.

We had a successful launch of St Austell Brewery’s new bottled beer, Smugglers Ale in the shop on Thursday 13th August (see our facebook page for some photos – link on Home page). If you haven’t tried this beer yet it is 6%, matured in whisky casks for 6 months, and delicious! We’re not far off stocking our 1000th beer now and to celebrate this we are getting a local brewery to brew us a special bottled beer. Watch this page for more details!
